Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the problems that occur above, the tools used in this study are using the Lean Six Sigma method with the help of analytical tools in the form of Pareto Diagrams, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in the form of Fishbone diagrams and Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) in an effort to minimize product defects in the grading, cutting and marking processes. Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that aims to increase productivity, increase customer satisfaction, and reduce costs operasional.PT Yutu Leports Jaya is a manufacturing company engaged in garment & garment import. PT Yutu Leports Jaya produces in a factory located on Jl. Raya Setu D8. Mekarwangi, West Cikarang. PT Yutu Leports Jaya has 2 main buildings, namely the production building and the inspection building. In the production building, which is a building where production processes are carried out starting from the inspection of raw materials into finished products. In addition, in the inspection building, which is the building where the finished product will be inspected first before being sent to consumers. These buildings have their respective areas, for production buildings have a land area of 3000 square meters. While the land area of the examination building is 2100 square meters. The types of products produced by PT Yutu Leports Jaya are various kinds of children's and adult clothing, such as t-shirts, jackets, pants, dresses, shirts, and long-sleeved shirts. At the define stage, we will discuss the SIPOC Diagram (Supplier, Input, Process, Customer, Output) in the t-shirt manufacturing process at PT. Yutu Leport Jaya. The process of making this t-shirt has suppliers in the form of raw material warehouses and production management, raw material warehouses have the main use to supply all types of needs in the production process, in this case the need for raw materials for the production process is combed 30s fabric, in supplying carried out by company management based on an order plan which will later be forwarded to the head of production to manage production planning base on demand. In the input hold consists of the t-shit material itself in the form of fabric and thread. The resistant process consists of raw material warehouse preparation, grading, cutting, marking, sewing, and finishing. In the raw material preparation process is carried iv out to determine the amount of production to be carried out in the production department, in this grading or processing process is carried out making front body material patterns, rear body material patterns, arm material patterns and chain material patterns. After grading is carried out then proceed to the cutting or cutting section, in this section cutting is carried out according to the pattern that has been made before, then coloring is carried out according to the order form or market request that has been planned by the production manager. Then finishing is done by checking the quality or quality control before packing the shirt in the packaging. This study focused on analyzing the grading, cutting, and marking processes because this process often occurs defects caused by production process failures caused by various factors including environmental factors, machines, methods, materials, and humans. Customers are based on sipoc diagram analysis, namely the administration and direct customer parts. The following are the conclusions obtained from the research that has been done, including the following: 1. The average value of Sigma level in the t-shirt production process is 4.39 and the possibility of defects is 1930pcs based on the calculation of DPMO value. 2. In the process of making t-shirts against several factors that can cause defective products, in the grading process the dominant factor causes defects, namely the work method factor due to the absence of patent work instructions. In the cutting and marking process, the dominant factor causes defects, namely the machine factor that often has problems that cause delays in the production process. 3. In the grading factor, improvement recommendations that can be given to the company are by making work instructions on all work activities. In the cutting and marking process, improvement recommendations that can be applied are by scheduling preventive maintenance. Keyword : Six Sigma , Defective Product ,T-shirt
