Abstract

The embankment (seperation levee) is built between the estuary of two adjacent rivers or between the river abaka estuary with the main river, in order to keep the estuary of the two rivers or estuaries moving easily and also curb the flow of water in each river mouth. Such dividing embankment crossings on both slopes to the required elevation and reinforcement on both sides of the embankment with jointed wire, steel sheeting on the foundation ground at the foot of the embankment prevent excessive seepage which can endanger the stability of the embankment. Factors that influence the amount of river now in a channel section include the effect of overflow movement on the river due to the increasing rainfall which results in Gerusan erosion on the dividing embankment; Damage to the transition zone; Damage due to the low resistance of the embankment; Damage due to soil pressure or groundwater pressure behind the embankment. Based on the research, Debit analysis (Q), flow depth (y), Froude number (Fr), energy (E) are made by analysts in the form of tables and graphs with predetermined limits so that the results are clear and easy to understand. From the results of the study found the highest amount of discharge (Qt) max = 1,413.12 cm3 / sec, occurred in the 10th experiment, the opening of the water gates 2.5 cm, while (Qt) min = 21.51 cm3/sec, occurred in experiment l, sluice openings = 0.5 cm.
