Abstract
Citepus Riverr ts located in the distract of Pelabuhan Ratu Sukabumi West Java province is the management authority of the provincal goverment of West Java with the management through the Institute for Water Resources Management Sukabumi . Along with the transfer of the seat of government for the District of Sukabumi and Pelabuhan Ratu pelabuhan Ratu this s makes the area developed rapidly, then the activities of office residential and other services centralized in Pelabuhan Ratu all of which require services that meet the needs of raw water in the raw ssanter close to be prepared in line swith the purpose of increasing the raw water , for it is necessary to development assessment of the availability of raw water in the river basin Citepus located in Sukabumi and utilization of water for distribution of water to the Pelabuhan Ratu in Sukabumi . Data needed in the analysis of avaitabiltv of river mater discharge in this case is the mainstav of riser discharge using water balance method theory Mock the necessary data is data on average rainfall areas swith rainfall station observation posts which Citarik station Pelabuhan Ratu and rainfall monitoring stations cikelat , the calculation of the average rainfall use the average of Algebra, wshile the station climatological data obtained Maranginan observations Sukabumi , with climatological analysis using Modified Penman theory . All data obtained from the Department of Water Resources of West Java prounce . while the amount of data and the development of the residents refer to sources obtained from the Regional Planning Agency and the Central Bureau of Statistics Sukabumi in 2012 . With the population growth that is rapid enough 89 456 inhabitants in 2004 and 113,000 inhabitants in 2001, then the need for raw water Pelabuhan Ratu enough region also increased rapidly , from the calculation of the raw water needs daily average of 0.551 ms sec , so expect availability of raw water contained in Citepus river can meet those needs , but if the river water discharge Citepus cannot meet the water needs in the region Pelabuhan Ratu then one solution is to take water from a nearby stream or river is a river Ciogong Cipalabuhan or even made for the long term a water reservoir. From the calculation of the water balance with a shortage of raw water by 5.869 million m3 per year of raw water and excess of 6,872 million m3 , then the raw water to meet the needs of the dry season must be made of a water reservoir , water reservoir with an effective capacity of 8.2521 million m3 with an area of 6.74 hectares and dam the 32 high of inundation the meters
