Abstract

Concrete demand is increasing in construction, where sand is one of the most important components for concrete mix. So the writer here wants to do research on the compressive strength of concrete using the sandstone of the Tanjung Batu-Sorong coast. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the sandstone of Tanjung BatuSorong can be used as a substitute for sand substitute material. In this study the authors tested with a comparison (1: 2: 3), 1: (1 + 1): 3 and (1: 2: 3). The tests include concrete compressive strength at 7 and 14 days old. The results of this study use Tanjung Batu-Sorong beach sand. Comparison of normal concrete compressive strength with concrete that is distributed fine aggregate with beach sand is normal concrete produces a compressive strength of 15.56 MPa, 50% beach sand concreteproduces compressive strength of 16.89 MPa, 100% beach sand concrete produces compressive strength of 17.33 MPa
