Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine recruitment, selection, work placement and employee performance at PT. Malakasari Textile Mills and to analyze the process of recruitment and selection of work placements and their implications for employee performance at PT. Malakasari Textile Mills. The method uses descriptive and verification. The sample used was 88 respondents (Slovin), using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data analysis using Path Analysis. The results of the study were in general the conditions of recruitment, selection, work placement and employee performance at PT. Malakasari Textile Mills can be said to be very good. Recruitment provides a direct influence on employee work placements with a Sig. equal to 0,000 with a beta coefficient of 0.376. Selection provides a direct influence on employee work placement with a Sig. equal to 0,000 with a beta coefficient of 0.599. Recruitment has a direct influence on employee performance with the Sig. 0,000 with a beta coefficient of 0.758. Selection does not provide a direct influence on employee performance with Sig. 0.487 with a beta coefficient of 0.051. Work placements provide a direct influence on employee performance with the Sig. 0.001 with a beta coefficient of 0.216. The contribution of the recruitment variable (X1) to the employee performance variable (Z) was 57.4%. For the amount of work placement contribution (Y) directly affecting employee performance (Z) is 4.6%. For the amount of the contribution of recruitment (X1) and work placement (Y) simultaneously affecting employee performance (Z) is 87.4%, while the remaining 12.6% is influenced by other factors that cannot be explained in this study. The selection variable (X2) has a Sig. 0.487 and has no direct effect on the performance variable (Z). For the indirect effect of the selection variable (X2) on employee performance variables (Z) through the work placement variable (Y) is 0.129
